Petten, vierde week/fourth week

Fourth week in Petten. The waysides, hedgerows and polder are bursting with spring colours and sounds. The sea rough and grey topped with rolling white waves but busier on the beach and sea dyke because of the spring holidays. On our last week in number 7 we had lots of lovely visitors and sunny, rainy, misty, wet and windy days. Spectacular sunrises, sunsets and a rainbow! And the beach café in Sint Maartenszee is open again every day!
Pettens beach café is still only rows of empty stilts but…. signs of life spotted this week!
To be continued!….

Polder de Putten, vanmorgen/this morning

A typical dutch sky, a biting wind, a ditch full of ink. The Hondsbossche sea dyke lies as straight as a ruler in the distance. Little do the sheep know, that behind the Hondsbossch, the sea is crashing against the dyke!
