When we were on holiday in Spain and Portugal this summer we stayed in many hotels and each time we arrived in a new city and a new hotel- before I’d inspected the bed, the bath or the view – I wanted to see what the ‘goodies’ ‘smellies’ and ‘freebies’ were in the bathroom!
My toilet bag was bulging and then my suitcase got heavier and heavier with all the free fragrances! Even when I off loaded a bag full of goodies from the hotels in Pamploma, Zaragosa, Toledeo and Salamanca onto Maria in Felgar, I still came home to Amsterdam with a bathroom full of assorted mini toiletries to last me through the winter!!
Each time I use one of the little soaps though, or open one of the mini bottles of bath gels, lotions, shampoos and colognes then I am back with Mr Fredlee walking through the cobbled streets of Porto, chugging around the harbour of Viana do Castelo, wandering around the mountain village in Puebla de Sanabria, admiring the breathtaking Atlantic coast at Ribadesella and joining in with the Basque festivities at sunset in Zarautz!
